Meet our Veterinarians!


Dr.  Patrick Leadbeater, our chief surgeon and the Practice Director, was born in England and is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.  A graduate of Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in Canada, he has strived to provide the most up-to-date and complete veterinary service in Hawaii.  Dr.  Leadbeater was the first and is the only surgeon providing Total Hip Replacement in Hawaii.  He was the first resident surgeon in Hawaii to be licenced under the patent  to perform Tibia Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) surgery for knee injuries in dogs.  He has performed numerous pacemaker implants and was the first to pioneer and use tele-radiology medicine in Hawaii.  He has attended numerous post graduate studies, including arthroscopy and endoscopy. 

A large part of Dr.  Leadbeater's practice are referral and 2nd opinion cases.  These challenges form a very enjoyable part of each day.  He maintains a network of colleagues at other specialty practices and universities around the world to assist him in providing the most currently available expertise in diagnoses and treatments.

When not at the practice, Dr.  Leadbeater's other passion's are travel with his family and photography.  His family, in addition to a wife and children, include several dogs, a cat, 2 turtles and numerous birds.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr.  Christina Miliaresis received her D.V.M. from Ross University and has practiced in Illinois and Hawaii for several years.  Her main areas of interest are internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Dr Miliaresis particularly enjoys participating in  Client/pet relations.

In her leisure time she enjoys surfing, running, writing, soccer and deepening her practice of Buddhism.  A world traveler, Dr.  Miliaresis is fluent in Greek, Italian and French.  Dr.  Miliaresis shares her home with "Mia", a German Shepard mix and "Ipo", an American Bull Dog.  

 

 

Dr.  Will Coleman was born and raised in Georgia.  He attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in the class of 1999.  He is relocating to Oau after practicing in Colorado for 8 1/2 years with 2 emergency hospitals.  Small animal emergency and critical care is Dr.  Coleman's primary area of expertise with special interests in anesthesia, pain management, trauma medicine and surgery.

In his free time, Dr.  Coleman enjoys traveling, gardening, woodworking and remodeling homes.  He and his partner have 2 "kids", a Golden Retriever named "Butterbean" and a long haired tabby named "Sinclair."
